The wait is over! Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the Admit Card for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) Preliminary 2026 (Advt No. 02/2026-ENGG). The UPSC ESE Prelims Exam 2026 is scheduled to be held on 08 February 2026 (Sunday). All registered candidates can now download their admit card from the official UPSC website using their Registration ID / Roll Number and Date of Birth.

Engineering Services (Electrical) To be updated Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university/institute. Engineering Services (Electronics & Telecommunication) To be updated Degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized university/institute.

Required Documents

Photograph: Recent passport-sized color photo (20–50 KB, JPG/JPEG, 3.5×4.5 cm). Signature: Scanned signature (10–20 KB, JPG/JPEG). Educational Certificates: 10th, 12th, and B.E./B.Tech degree mark sheets/certificates. Category Certificates: SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD certificate (if applicable). Domicile Certificate: For state-based reservation (if applicable). Identity Proof: Aadhaar, PAN, or Voter ID. Valid Email ID & Mobile Number: For registration and communication.

visit the official UPSC website → http://www.upsc.gov.in On the homepage, go to “What’s New” or “Examination” section Look for the link: “Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026 – e-Admit Card” Click on the link and it will open the login page Enter your Registration ID / Roll Number and Date of Birth Submit and your admit card will appear on the screen Carefully check all details (Name, Roll No., Exam Date, Time, Venue, Photo, Signature, Instructions) Download the admit card in PDF format Take a clear printout (preferably in color) and carry it to the exam centre along with a valid photo ID proof.

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates will be appointed in Group A & Group B services under various engineering departments of Government of India. Pay Level → Level 10 to Level 14 (7th Pay Commission) Starting Basic Pay → ₹56,100 onwards + DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances Approximate in-hand salary (initial) → ₹70,000 – ₹1,20,000+ per month (depending on posting city)
