The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially released the Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Pre Result 2026 on its website. Candidates who appeared in the exam held on 22 March 2026 can now check their result online.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

  • Preliminary Exam: Objective-type, 150 marks (Part I: General Studies, 50 marks; Part II: Law, 100 marks), 2 hours, negative marking (1/3rd per wrong answer). Tests General Knowledge, Indian Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Evidence Act, etc.

  • Mains Exam: Descriptive-type, 400 marks (General Knowledge: 100, General Hindi: 100, Criminal Law & Procedure: 100, Law of Evidence: 100), qualifying in nature for Hindi.

  • Interview: 50 marks, assesses legal knowledge, ethics, and suitability for prosecution.

  • Document Verification: Originals of LLB, Advocate enrollment, category, and domicile certificates verified.

Final merit is based on Mains and Interview scores. Prepare with UPPSC APO syllabus, previous year papers, and mock tests
